A "Semla" is bun flavored with cardemom and it's got almond paste and fresh whipped cream in it.
I was planning on baking "Semlor" for Fat Tuesday which falls on Tuesday the 8th March this year for my Swedish friends at work. Unfortunately, I broke my knee trying to pursue my "Get fit project". The project has become more like "Get fat project".
It is a Swedish tradition to eat Semla on Fat Tuesday.
I will feast on Semlor for the rest of the week! My neighbors got two as well, because they are Swedish :)They loved it and wrote a thank you card and all. <3
