Tapeo - Born, Barcelona


I stumbled upon Tapeo about 2 months ago, and I've been coming back ever since. Their tapas are always freshly made, of high quality, and very tasteful. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. Tapeo just opened up 3 months ago, the ambiance is bright and fresh, and it's not overcrowded by tourists.

I usually have the "Boquerones" (anchovies in vinegar, lemon & garlic), but this evening they were out of stock. The composition above consists of croquetas de jamón (deep fried ham paste), Albondigas (meatballs) in a sauce of cuttlefish, deep fried rabbit chops with garlic sauce, and the complementary pan con tomate (tomato bread). To drink, a Catalan Grenache, or "Granatxa" mixed with Syrah, from Viladellops outside Bareclona.
