I had great sushi in NYC. The sushis were huge. Freakin' huge, just to show you how ridiculously huge it was I uploaded a second picture of the sushi we had. The piece of eel was around 12 cm long I'd say. You could kind of wrap it around the rice. You have the standard take away single use chopsticks as a size reference. It was money.
