Lahore Kebab House

A friend of mine recently decided to leave London and move to New York, as he by some strange reason believes that quality of life and public transportation is better over there. He has promised to share his NYC food experiences on this blog, so hopefully we can see if NYC has more to offer than London. And as for public transportation, I guess we all know that nothing can compete with London as a given number one.

The venue for the evening was Lahore Kebab House, just off Commercial Road in East London. The food was amazing and had a very high quality. We ordered a large selection of items from the menu, and my two favorite dishes yesterday were the Lamb Chops (pictured above) and the Chicken Curry.

Although the food was delicious and very cheap, I found it quite difficult to enjoy my meal with all the noise and commotion going on around me. It was especially hard to have a conversation around the table as we were a big group of people, and coming straight from work on a Friday evening makes it no easier to cope with all the noise at Lahore Kebab House.

In my opinion, Tayyabs is a much better choice if you want to be able to have a conversation with whoever you are going out with for dinner, however, I believe that the food is slightly better at Lahore Kebab House. So the next time I head out for some Lamb Chops, I will most likely head to Tayyabs rather than Lahore Kebab House - unless I want to make sure that I can enjoy a dinner without any conversations.
